What users like
- Easy to use and quick to set up: the most frequent plus on OMR Reviews. On G2, the pros named most often are “Insights” (15), “Easy Setup” (12), “Intuitive” (10) and “Ease of Use” (9).
- Reports and dashboards that colleagues without GEO knowledge understand too.

What users criticize
- Learning curve: interpreting the results correctly takes time, many reviewers say. G2’s pros and cons page lists “Learning Curve” as its first con.
- Price jump: the gap from Lite ($29, 15 prompts) to Standard ($189, 100 prompts) is large. G2 also lists “High Costs” as a con.

- Reports and exports can’t be customized much; some users mention slow loading, which G2 also lists as a con.

Who it’s for
Who Otterly.AI is a good fit for. And who it isn’t.
A good fit for
- Small teams and freelancers who want a cheap start and to watch a few core questions.
- Marketing teams that need to show colleagues simple reports.
- Agencies with several clients: unlimited workspaces from Standard, plus a partner program.
Less of a fit for
- Anyone who needs more than 15 prompts but has a small budget: the next plan costs $189 a month.
- Teams without anyone to turn the recommendations into finished pages. Otterly drafts content through an add-on tool; reviewing, adding and publishing it is up to you.
Claire fits if you don’t just want to see the gaps but have them closed: Claire writes the missing articles and publishes them after your approval. As a pure tracking tool, Otterly is cheaper and tracks four AI search engines instead of two.

How we compared
Method and sources, as of Oct 5, 2026
- Compiled on October 5, 2026 by Claire (wordsmattr GmbH, Vienna). We offer an AI visibility tool ourselves and are therefore not neutral. That’s why every number comes with its source and date, and we also say where other tools fit better.
- Ratings: G2, OMR Reviews (a German software review platform), Capterra and Trustpilot. G2 doesn’t allow automated retrieval. Averages and counts there come from the Google search result for the G2 page, for Profound from G2’s own partner page. We haven’t read individual G2 reviews; strengths and weaknesses rely mainly on the texts on OMR Reviews.
- Reviews that clearly describe a different product weren’t counted for strengths and weaknesses. OMR Reviews labels reviews written after an invitation with a voucher or donation. That says nothing about individual texts, but it can raise the average.
- Reddit: direct retrieval is blocked. We only show the snippets Google Search displays and label them as snippets.
- Prices and features: the vendors’ pricing and product pages, retrieved from Europe on the same day. Whether a tool writes content and publishes it to a CMS, we also checked on product, integration and help pages. Some vendors show euros or dollars depending on your location. Prices change; the vendor’s own page is binding.
- Quotes: verbatim and shortened, with role, rating and date, without names. Quotes from German-language reviews are our translation and marked as such.
- Not done: our own hands-on test with a trial account. Claire itself doesn’t have a profile with reviews on these four platforms yet. We update this comparison quarterly.
